POT BEARING

Based on its unique design and the application of elastomer, Pot Bearings have been widely used in bridge construction all over the world. The theory is to confine a circular shape of elastic rubber in a steel pot. By using a special design piston, dead load and live load can be taken and transferred, as well as fixed-type or movable-type of bearing can be achieved. Due to the property of elastomer eccentric can be controlled to be within 3% when external force is applied and/or rotation occur. This is because there is no need to consider the volume deceasing of an elastomer and it can react to external force like liquid.
